How To Start A Business: Offering Value – This Wild Grace

Let him who cannot be alone beware of community.
Let him who is not in community beware of being alone.

There’s a lot of ideas floating around in my head for the future; one of them is beginning my own business. I love the freedom that it offers. But to begin a business, you have to have something of value to offer to other people. The same concept applies to a blog too, if you want readers, you have to supply something of value for them to read. I tend towards journaling more in my blogging, so I haven’t gotten far with the followers, also I’m secretive, I don’t share this blog with too many people. I’m not sure why, I like having my own private corner, lol, internet and privacy are oxymorons.

I prayed yesterday, to be able to give value to others. It’s really a life skill in everything we do, not just business, not just blogging, but in relationships, in everything we do.

Last night, I listened to a good sermon, and he talked about how spending time alone with God makes you more valuable to the community of God. He talked about how when we’re broken, our brokenness spills out into everything we do, we can’t help it. But if we’re whole, that also spills into the things we do. So having the ability to offer value to the world, begins with quiet time. It begins with soaking up the wholeness that only bringing our brokenness to God can bring. Only He can fill our cracks. Only being filled with Him can help the world, in business, in blogging, in whatever we do on a daily basis. He is the answer, He is the first step we need to take, He is the value.
